Ice Cream Turtle
This happy, little Ice Cream Turtle was the first to start my cute critters and sweet desserts collection, and one of the first few pieces of digitally drawn art I've finished. The organization of layers on this was a bit of a mess because I was new at using them, and there's tools I use in the program now that I didn't know about then, but I'm still happy with how he turned out. I think he's happy about it too.

Shaved Iceberg Kakigori
I started a series based on mixing cute animals and desserts with Ice Cream Turtle, and this seal on top of an iceberg made of shaved ice seemed to fit perfectly for the second addition to this art collection. Kakigori is a popular summer treat in Japan that is so much more than a snow cone. This design has fruit and syrup flavoring, but some can have ice cream, anko (sweetened red beans), small mochi dumplings, and sooo much more, and flavor can go from matcha, to strawberry, to anything in between. Not to mention the ice is shaved instead of crushed, so it's fluffier too.

Carousel Unicorn
The original drawing of this was as a present for my mom, and it started off with a slightly different look to it. My mom has always loved carousels, which is what inspired me. The first carousel horse, not unicorn, I drew was lavender with a purple mane and tail, because mom loooves purple (which is also where the purple trim at the bottom came from). I created three more with different colors in order to make a full carousel on a coffee mug for her. This horse is one of the those carousel horses that got an upgrade to magical status. (I imagine she still considers the other three horses her good friends, though.)

I'm Not a Doll
This girl might look cute, but she's serious about her fashion. I actually used two different programs to draw this one. I liked the vector line tools in one program because getting line work for characters like this can be diffcult for me sometimes, but the other program just blended colors so much better for all of the shading and highlights. Fun fact: the design for the dress she's wearing is copied from one that I designed while playing Animal Crossing.

Double Scoop Ice Cream Cones
These ice cream cones actually started out as a practice drawing for me. I just bought a different drawing software to try out and was just messing around with all the tools to figure out what they did. I started getting inspired while playing with it and ended up with a pretty sweet graphic (no pun intended).
